Baba's huge cast iron pot has been simmering on the stovetop all day, you can tell by the steam on the inside of the windows when she invites you in. She said that she made this tea because she knew that you would be dropping by (even though you didn't call ahead) and was worried about you catching cold. Baba serves this tea to you with a shot of whiskey in it and side of thumbprint cookies made with the jam of some wild berries that she foraged. It was totally worth sitting through her "why aren't you married with children yet" interrogation because she sends you home with a pipping hot half gallon mason jar of this tea and a knowing wink.
